Success!

The Sara Groves concert was a big success!! I've been hearing nothing but good things from those who attended! I want to give a HUGE "THANK YOU!!!" to the moms who volunteers their time to make this happen--
Jodi VP was there in the morning helping unload the truck with the men(!!) and came back in the evening to take tickets and then stayed late into the evening helping put the rooms back together again! Pretty good for our triplet mom!!
Tina B helped set up the dressing rooms and did security during the concert!
Holly R took tickets and worked the Food For the Hungry table and helped get 22 children from Rwanda sponsored! She also stayed late into the night getting rooms put back in place.
Bonnie S handled the will call table with grace!
Dawn C helped with ticket sales at Cornerstone.
Jamie P (one of our nursery heroes!) helped hang posters.

You guys made my job very easy and I thank you!!

We have our last Friday meeting until the new year tomorrow. We're just going to have an unscheduled time of hanging out. The Momtime Leaders will be providing the food. If you haven't came in a long time or never at all this would be a great week to join us! See you there!

Friday in review

We had a wonderful Friday morning meeting today! Twenty-two moms joined us and we heard Katie's testimony on how her relationship with Christ became her own and how she came to the place of realizing that God isn't contingent on her and that He is big enough for our doubt! Then we made gift jars and visited.

The winter retreat has already hit it's capacity!! If you didn't get to sign up but would still like to go let me know asap so I can see if we can squeeze anyone else in. There is also an option of just joining us for the evening or morning. Just the evening is $5 and does not include the price of pizza. Just the morning is $5 and includes breakfast. Doing both without staying over night is $10.

We still need two volunteers to help with the merchandise table at the Sara Grove's concert. The volunteers will get to see the concert FREE but will have to spend a small shared amount of time in the foyer during the concert... where the concert will be live fed. Please leave a comment or email RIGHT NOW if you'd like that opportunity!

And we are looking for table leaders for jan-may. If that's something you may be interested in let me know.

The last tickets for the Sara Groves concert sold out today!! Thank you to everyone who picked up tickets.

We still have several volunteer positions that we need to fill. Some of them involve seeing the concert for free while you work. Let me know if you would like more info.

Winter Retreat!

February 19th -20th we will be having our Momtime Retreat at the Blue Belle Inn in St. Ansgar IA. We will be renting out almost the entire main house! A deposit of $25 (nonrefunable) is needed to secure your spot and will cover your overnight stay and breakfast in the morning. There may be an additional charge for supper at Paradise Pizza. Incentives will go to those helping with the Sara Groves concert (which is covering over half of the retreat expenses!) and to those who get their deposits in the soonest. Sign up is effective immediately!

Mom's Night Out!!

Join us this Thursday night (November 19th) at 7pm at the Calico Hutch! We will be getting a shop tour, making a small felt project ($3) and hanging out. There will be carpooling from the church. Please RSVP so we know how many to expect. You can leave your rsvp in a comment.

A big THANK YOU to all the mom's who brought in food today for the food shelf! I ended up bringing in 35 pounds of food to the Salvation Army today!! Way to go!!

Plan B

The momtime hayride has been canceled due to mud! Please join us tonight (Sat Oct 24th) at 8pm at the Faith Church Youth Building for games/byo crafts. Bring a snack if you're so inclined. This is just for moms.

Mom's Night Out!

This saturday (Oct 24th) we will be going out to the Hansen farm for a hayride and bonfire! Spouses are invited! Bring lawn chairs, blankets, and stuff for s'mores / hot drinks. RSVP please.

In case of bad weather we will be meeting at the Faith Church Youth Building for a game night. Bring a fun group game if you have one and a snack if you'd like.

First day of ticket sales!

We had a great first day of ticket sales for the Sara Groves Concert! 1/4 of the tickets are already gone! That is awesome for us... not so awesome for you if you haven't gotten yours yet! I don't want anyone to miss out.

Tickets will be on sale at the church office during the week. We will have them available at momtime on friday (9:15-10:45). And in between church services on Sunday (aprx 10:15-10:30 and 11:45-noon).

If you would like to help spread the word by either hanging up a poster or leaving a few postcards somewhere let us know by either leaving a comment or emailing us momtimeaustin@yahoo.com We would like posters up in some of the local churches and businesses this week.

The proceeds of the concert will go to Momtime and specifically for helping with the winter retreat.
